Up to Speed

I have fallen off the blogwagon majorly. I have not written or read blogs {besides the last Harrison update} in quite some time. Wish there was some awesome reason why - like I was going to be on a reality tv show and I had to quit during filming, but nope, not really a reason. Well, I think there is an underlying reason, but I have not seemed to be able to put the thoughts into written word quite yet. The OCD in me would like to go back and update in order what all we have been up to lately, but to quote Sweet Brown, "ain't nobody got time for that". We have a LOT going on in the Henninger household, so this post will be a quick little catch up on some of the things {not in order} we have been up to :)

We celebrate Dillon and Dane's birthdays at Monkey Joes - early October. This was a huge deal because I do believe this is one of the first times I did not have to go on the slides and bounce things with Heidi.

These beautiful ladies and I went to celebrate my birthday and have a "ladies night".

Heidi and Georgia had a little sleepover

Harrison had a banana

We had a visit from a unicorn ballerina

Dinner out downtown with my cousin Julie and my sister Vicki - serious business going on and hashing out the details for our "girl cousin" trip in February!

We had a visit from a little witch.

I began selling Thirty One on June 25th and Heidi and I love all of the boxes that come in!

Heidi laid a couple of eggs.

We have daily couch destruction.

PJ/Movie day at school

Halloween with Doc McStuffins and a Monkey

Donuts with Daddy

Filling boxes for kids across the world

Disney Princesses on Ice

Trip to a Steelers game in Pittsburgh!

So there you go! A few of the things we have been up to lately - not everything, but enough for one night. I promise to update more often!

Harrison - 7 Months

Harrison, you are 7 months old now! I literally cannot believe how fast time has flown. You are an amazingly content and joyful little baby. Rarely are you ever upset - unless mommy is in the room and someone else is holding you. You make me feel like I am the most special person in the world. Heidi and you are the best self-esteem boosters because y'all make me feel like everything I do is just the best ever. Next come the regular monthly stats!

  • You are wearing size 3 diapers, but we might move you up soon. I like diapers to be a little big.
  • In clothes you wear 6-9 months. I love to let you wear pjs all day, but I know that you love to play with your feet, so when we are home we let them out :)

  • Sleeping has been a bit more challenging the past month. You used to sleep all through the night and regularly, but with a huge growth spurt and the start of food you have been waking up more throughout the night. It will pass though and for the most part you are so easy to put to sleep.
  • You do not care to have a paci and you are more interested in playing with it than anything else.

  • Anytime I have something in my hand you automatically think you need to grab it.
  • You only cry in the car when it is past your bedtime. You love to look at Heidi and she loves to entertain you.

  • We still have yet to take you to nursery at church. Maybe soon because you are becoming a real squirmy wormy.
  • Daddy can get the biggest giggles out of you when he tickles you.
  • You love to pull hair and think it is so funny.

  • You love food. All of it. I cannot have you on my lap when eating because you try and take everything. We have gotten a routine of 3 meals a day and you get so excited when it is time to eat! You have had peaches, apples, bananas, green beans, peas, squash, and sweet potatoes. You are also still nursing and you love that as well!

  • We have to be super watchful of anything we leave on the ground because you are scooting yourself towards whatever is around. The other day you were under Heidi's trampoline! You get up on all fours and rock back and forth. You will be crawling in no time!

Picnic

Just a short little post with pictures from our picnic. I have a feeling we'll be having regular picnics on Mondays! This morning we packed a little lunch and headed to Lake Mayer after Heidi's gymnastics class. I used to run around this lake either before or after dance class when I was in high school {which I need to do now, ugh} and it is right around the corner from gymnastics = perfect! It was fantastic until the possessed geese started circling us and hissing. Maybe next time we will put our blanket by the playground!

1st Day of Pre-3!

School is back in session for Heidi-bug. I never know how Heidi is going to react to going places or doing things, so I don't think I ever really set expectations on the day. On the way to school Heidi did not want to go at all. Once we parked and started walking in she was fine and seemed in a really good mood. On the way to her class she was still fine and then when we got to the room she walked right in with her teacher and looked around. I was so shocked because it was just the opposite of how she was in the car. I was so excited that she was in a good mood! Heidi even let me take a picture with her teacher! Now THAT was a complete shock. I didn't even have to ask her twice. When I went to pick her up she was still in a great mood and she said she had so much fun! Usually she tells me she does not like things. So, here's to a great new school year and tons of fun!

Heidi's adorable outfit came from "So Sew Jo" in Blackshear, GA. A childhood friend of mine, her mom makes the cute clothing :)

Labor Day Weekend

This weekend we headed to Charlotte, NC and hung out with family. We left home after John got off work and the trip up there was not bad at all! Heidi has turned into a great traveler {The days of wanting to drive off a cliff are still a close memory though} and Harrison is very patient, just feed him when he wants to eat and you're fine.

We arrived in time for dinner and the kids played until it was bedtime. I love that Heidi is at the age where she can quickly interact with her cousins. There was also some birthday celebration time for Grace's birthday! {I don't have any pictures because I was feeding Harrison}

Sunday we went to the Lazy 5 Ranch {we went there in 2011 as well}. Which is a fun petting zoo! We all rode in a wagon pulled by horses through the fields were all the animals were. The kids had such a great time. The plans were pizza and pool time for dinner, but it started to storm so it turned into pizza and movie time. At the end of the night we had another birthday celebration for John's dad.

It was a short trip, but so much fun! Heidi had a great time eating her ice cream on the way home, and then she slaved in the kitchen making up vegetable soup! It was delicious!

And...meanwhile, back on the blogging ranch I have some catching up to do! Harrison turned five months on Sunday and I still have yet to post his four month pictures. Bad mommy...
