Kara & Colin's Wedding

This weekend John and I headed up to Atlanta for Kara and Colin's wedding! We're really excited and we're both in it so it will be our first time being in a wedding together - besides our own. Thursday we got into Newnan and we rode with our friend Keith. John and I stayed with his family that night. Friday we had to get up WAY too early for the guys to go play golf. I headed towards Kara's house to help her do whatever she needed to do for her bug day. We went and had our nails and toes done - I love to have them done! Next I headed back to the hotel to get ready for the rehearsal dinner out in Piedmont Park where the wedding was to take place. It is such a beautiful place to have a wedding! The wedding was to be held outside but we were inside to run through all of the orders and to practice. Next we went to have a wonderful dinner!

Rehearsal Dinner

Friday night we went out in the Atlanta area with some friends that had come in town early for the wedding. We didn't stay out too late - just long enough to hang out with the friends we haven't seen in awhile!

Saturday morning the guys played golf again and I stayed at the hotel. I went to have lunch with some of the others that came into town. Next I went back to the hotel to start getting ready since it takes awhile =) The boys came back at some point and started getting ready as well. The hotel room got so hot because just about everyone was there getting ready - maybe about 10 people or so. Gina, Casey and I all fixed our hair and make-up in our room as well.

After getting ready we headed towards the park for the wedding. We helped Kara get ready and then we started to take pictures. The weather started to get a little dark and cooler, but we were hoping the rain would hold off! Unfortunately that was not the case. We ended up moving the wedding into the area where the reception was to be held. It was still beautiful! After the ceremony we had a great time hanging out with friends, eating, and enjoying the reception. We took more pictures and they had some really cute ones with an umbrella and the rain!

After the reception we headed to the downtown area - I think, I am not sure where in Atlanta we were. We ran into a guy that was on the Real World - Australia. I had no idea who he was, but I got my picture taken with him - ha!!

Happy Birthday Hunter!!

Today is Hunter's 6th birthday! It's hard to believe that we have had Hunter for almost 6 years - he has grown into such a big boy! On days like these I remember back to the potty training days and when John almost wanted to give him back because Hunter was a messy little puppy. He used to gnaw at the linolium floor and pull it up as well as chew holes in the carpet - in perfect squares I might add!

We took Hunter to have a nice day at the spa - a bath, nail trimming, teeth brushing, and haircut. He always looks so handsome after a fresh day at the groomers! We also let him pick out a few little treats as well. His FAVORITE is the pig ear. Usually Hunter will go straight to the basket a pick one up for us to buy for him - no he's not spoiled at all =)

Peyton & Brooke's Engagement Party

Tonight I went to Swainesboro for Peyton and Brooke's engagement party. It was a nice time and it was great to see some friends I had not seen in awhile. John had to work and was not able to make it, but it was still a fun time! I thought I was going to get lost driving there at first because once you got off the interstate you had to drive down this long dirt road and it made me a little nervous. Once I got there everything was just great! Peyton was one of John's fraternity brothers and a roommate for a semester and Brooke was in the same sorority and me, but at a different college. We met her when she would visit Peyton.

Karen's Bachelorette Party

This weekend we threw Karen a bachelorette party at Tybee Island. We rented a condo and stayed two nights. The first night everyone arrived and then on Saturday we went to the beach and by the pool. Afterwards we took Karen out and made her do some fantastic dares - she was a great sport. As always - here are some pictures!
