See Spot Run - 5K

Today Hunter and I ran in the See Spot Run 5k to support the local Animal Shelter. Poor Hunter, I thought I killed him. Originally I thought I signed us up for the 1-mile fun run, but apparently not. Hunter was SOOO sore afterwards and poor thing would try to wag his tail but couldn't. We will definitely get him into shape for next year! He did such an amazing job and I am so proud of him - when the gun went off he was ready to compete!

Kara's Bachelorette Party

This weekend John and I had separate bachelor and bachelorette parties - both in the Atlanta area. We drove up on Friday night and the weather was HORRIBLE! Yeah - we drove through a tornado...it was crazy! We had to meet Colin and Kara on the way to drop off John so that he could ride with Colin and the boys to go play golf and do their "man stuff". My mom rode with me and the plan was to drop her off at my brother's house - we were staying there for the night.

Saturday after I woke up I went to have lunch with Lindsay and Ellyn - who I had not seen in awhile. Next I headed towards the bachelorette location! I went ahead and checked in the rooms and waited on the rest of the crew to arrive. Kristi did such a great job with all of the planning! That night we first went to Loca Luna to each - its a tapas bar with appetizers; so yummy! After dinner we got ready for the REAL entertainment. We went to take pole dancing lessons....yep we danced on poles. It was so much fun! We learned the "suicide" and the "BAM". After pole dancing we went back to the hotel and Kara opened all of her fun surprises - it was a great weekend!! The next morning I could barely lift my arm to brush my teeth I was so sore from the pole dancing....

Emily's Baby Shower

This weekend I went to a childhood friend's baby shower. Emily is expecting a little girl; Morgan Elizabeth. Dance classes were where we became friends and amazingly we have kept in touch ever since.

Shamrock Run - 5K

Today my sister and I ran our very first 5K. It was the March of Dimes Shamrock Run. This is the kickoff to all the St. Patrick's Day events!

Kara's Wedding Shower

This weekend my mom and I went to Atlanta. I had Kara's wedding shower to go to and I asked my mom if she wanted to go and visit with my brother, sister-in-law, and niece. It was great to see family and friends this weekend!

New Job!

So...I have finally gotten a job! Well, I had been working as a substitute teacher, but now I am at a 9-5 permanent job! I will be at a bank in the marketing and new business development department. It's not really a department per say, but more like me in that area. Anyways, it's a job! John is happy, I am happy and soon we'll be able to save up for out house!!

Welcome to our new nephew Gavin!

This weekend we went to meet the lasest addition to the Henninger family! Gavin Michael Henninger - born January 17!! While we were visiting we also got to see the snow! I absolutely LOVE the snow. We stayed at Brad and Rebekah's house for an extended weekend (it's not like I have a job to get to or anything...) and enjoyed time with the family and our new nephew. John and I painted their bathroom for them so that once they got home from the hospital they could relax and not have to worry about doing it later.
