Kara's Wedding Shower

This weekend my mom and I went to Atlanta. I had Kara's wedding shower to go to and I asked my mom if she wanted to go and visit with my brother, sister-in-law, and niece. It was great to see family and friends this weekend!

New Job!

So...I have finally gotten a job! Well, I had been working as a substitute teacher, but now I am at a 9-5 permanent job! I will be at a bank in the marketing and new business development department. It's not really a department per say, but more like me in that area. Anyways, it's a job! John is happy, I am happy and soon we'll be able to save up for out house!!

Welcome to our new nephew Gavin!

This weekend we went to meet the lasest addition to the Henninger family! Gavin Michael Henninger - born January 17!! While we were visiting we also got to see the snow! I absolutely LOVE the snow. We stayed at Brad and Rebekah's house for an extended weekend (it's not like I have a job to get to or anything...) and enjoyed time with the family and our new nephew. John and I painted their bathroom for them so that once they got home from the hospital they could relax and not have to worry about doing it later.

Happy New Year!!

Happy 2008! Tonight we celebrated our very first married new years! We celebrated with Freddie and her boyfriend Brian at a little bar in town called Glazers. It was a fun night that ended with a limo ride home!

Lacey & Shad's Reception

Tonight I went to Valdosta for Lacey and Shad's wedding reception. Earlier in the month they traveled to Jamaica and were married there, so they opted for an at home reception.

Christmas

As usual John and I spread the Christmas season out =) Of course we keep the true meaning of Christmas celebrating the birth of Jesus and we make sure to focus more on Him rather than all the hustle and bustle of presents. We went to his parent's the week before Christmas to celebrate with all of his family. Brad and Rebekah and anxiously awaiting their first little baby Henninger - so the next time we see them will be when our new nephew is born! Rebecca's boyfriend was not there, but he left some tasty treats for John and I.

We also celebrated at my parents' house on Christmas morning - we opened presents and gave Hunter all of his presents. He was a tired boy afterwards! We also went to my sister's house and Tres, Tina, and Olivia came into town and we watched all of the kids open their presents. We even had time for a family portrait!
